CEHAT's research and work points to weak regulatory and institutional mechanisms across health sectors, contributing to a number of issues directly affecting patient care and access to care. We launched various initiatives to inform patients about their rights, one of which is an interactive website as a knowledge tool and as an experience sharing portal. In 2016, a calendar focused on the same theme. In 2017, taking on an activist role, we intervened in a kidney transplant case to highlight the doner-hospital power imbalance, the exploitative nature of transactions, and gaps in scrutiny processes.
